Welcome to the Elmhurst Library!

Our library is open for business! 

Library Policies

Students are allowed to check out a book every week when their class comes to the library, and are able to return it for another book during recess and lunch. We ask that their book be returned before another is checked out, unless they are working on a class project or reading a class novel.

Accelerated Reader

Accelerated Reader is an exciting reading practice/comprehension program.  Students choose books at their individual reading level and then take computerized quizzes to test their comprehension. Teachers determine each student’s goal.

Visit http://library.venturausd.org and click on the link for our school.  Once there, you can search for books in the Elmhurst Library, find the link to the Renaissance Place Home Connect feature for Accelerated Reader, and you can use the AR Book finder link to search for books and see if there is an AR quiz available for a specific book.
